Venue – The Fortress

Last week was a week to forget for us at Excelsior but this week will be a worse one for the man who tried to bring us down. We've bounced back and he's looking at losing his place at the league. Justice.

We were all rounded up early to find the pitch a touch on the firm side. Skye were hoping for a cancellation due to a poor turn out. Unfortunately, for Skye, the Ref made the correct decision to play the game.

On Thursday 26th February, Squires Gate are holding a Sportsmen's Dinner.

Tickets are £32 and will include a meal, 2 comics, lap dancers and all the usual games.

Back to the Fortress after being brought back down to earth last week at Stanley Park, and this time the 2nd round of the cup against North West Kitchens who themselves had only lost 3 times all season.

We are having an FC Excelsior night out in Nottingham. We need to know numbers ASAP to book hotel etc. so please read on for more details.

We are going to stay one night in Nottingham on 28th March. Travel will depend on numbers - if there is enough we will arrange a coach, otherwise we can arrange some drivers.

It is going to be roughly £25 for the room so we will need £20 deposit from anyone who wants to go within a week.

We will also be celebrating the birthdays of Woz and Neil so make the effort and come along if you can.

This day has been coming. That long over due kick up the arse that we needed to hopefully get us back on course and firing on all cylinders again.

After it tipped it down all night it was no surprise to find our pitch a touch on the boggy side. Luck would have it that our game was on the pitch with the 10 degree incline so the most of the rain water had made it’s way off the pitch.

First game of the new year for Excelsior, and first game for 6 weeks, Excelsior needed to get a win to make ground on Fleetwood CC and Fairhaven.

Just a quick memo out to the guys. Just to say that lets make this happen, I know we have a big squad but please be a team player and think about the bigger goal for the next 12 games. We really do have a great chance of winning the league and nothing else but promotion is acceptable.

A Christmas and our schedule over Christmas and new year.

The fund raising race night was a big success raising almost £350 for the clubs coffers. Thanks to all that attended and to Lee for laying on the raffle prizes, hot pot and of course the venue.
