I am sure you are all aware, but George is organising a trip to Amsterdam over the summer for us all. Lets take this opportunity - how often are we going to get a chance like this? We have a great team spirit and this could be cracking trip.

Also, George has put his time and effort into this so lets take it seriously.

After renewed pressure from our skipper on Sunday, I have scoured the tinternet for the best deals available. Here is what I have found for those who are interested.

Flight to Amsterdam from Liverpool, on Tuesday 24th June, departing 0630. Returning Thursday 26th June, at 2215. cost just under 55 of your english pounds, return per person, this is after removing from easyjet's price list, (hold luggage, speedy boarding and insurance), dont know if that'll be any good to any spice boys requiring more than a toothbrush and rolling mat, but a fiver each way on top will give you hold space.

Seano and clarky and wozza, you best take clarkys van!!

Holdall is allowed as hand luggage.

Acommodation: 2 x nights at the Downtown Flying pig hostel, to view just put 'flying pig amsterdam' into google and it's the top result. Price varies for this accomodation, dependant on how many go, there are 6,8,10 and 12 bed dorms, twin rooms are available for those requiring some privacy ;-) ??? but will cost no more than 20-25 euro each per night.

The way it works out, not too much deduction is required to suss, by choosing these flights, we will have 3 full days and 2 nights in amsterdam, getting into the city by around 9.30ish the accommodation is 5 mins from the train station, everything is within walking distance, I have stayed in the flying pig many times before and it is basic, but is probably the best accom in amsterdam certainly fits the bill for what we will need - the beds dont bite you and the water's hot!!

Bars in amsterdam close at 1am during the week, the bar in the hostel is open all night, is usually rockin and incidentally serves the cheapest beer in town. A very cool place, renowned the world over by backpackers(ask steve mckenzie!).

And all this, three days, and two nights including accom and rtn flights, for under a oner!!,leaving plenty to spend on, weed, beer, space cake, and what was the other thing?? oh aye! very pretty ceramic clogs!!

If enough show an interest I will have a look to see if we can maybe organise a game for the wednesday with someone, although 'amateur football in amsterdam' into google throws up non league teams only, I'm sure with a little further investigation, something could be sorted.

It's well cheap lads,with plenty of notice, but will need acting on pretty soon, as the flights are likely to rise quickly, no money is required on the accomodation front, until arrival, so your only descision is whether you can afford to part with 55-60 quid.

The only other thing to organise will be a mini bus to and from the airport, or a taxi if it's just me, steve and fiss!! and the rest of you can FUCK Off!!
