Another match, another two goals for Lonsdale.
The inform striker did not disappoint again. His tireless running and constant chasing down paid dividends for the Excelsior.
The match started at a fairly slow pace with very little to comment about. More of a middle of the park battle, typical Division 3A style. One of the very few chances fell to Lonsdale and in typical fashion he tucked it away 1-0.

As the 2nd half kicked off we were caught unaware and before we could react DB Builders made it 1-1. A long powerful drive from the DB midfielder got them right back in it.
We came right back at them and created a few good chances. It was not until the substation of late comer George Spittle that we really started to dominate. George slipped in to the middle of the park and Fiss pushed out on the right. We ripped them apart for the rest of the game and Lonsdale put the game past the DB lads with a rather cute finish from a nice move coming in from the right.
