One word - Disappointing
From shit hot to just plain shit in the space of seven days.
We started the game 4-4-2 with Mills, Clark, S. Mckenzie, A .Mckensie, Neil, Fiss, Colson, Spittle, D Worral, Lonsdale and Willacy.
The start of the game we tore the Autos apart from the right flank with some great link up play between Fiss and Willacy. Three or four good chances went begging and when the Auto’s grabbed 3 against the run of play our game was as good as over. We knew this was not going to be our day when Mills palmed into his own net!
Two more Auto’s goals followed without reply, leading us to half time 0-5 down.
We kicked off the second half with Colson and Fiss swapping places to try and stem the flow of goals. We then go right in to the game and to be honest made the Auto’s look very ordinary, if not rubbish.
A goal right from the off through Lonsdale, great team effort ending with a finish from an acute angle. Another great effort from Worral, on for Willacy, with his first touch brings the game to 2-5.
Game on perhaps? Not really, as other substitutions didn't come off and another couple of goals went in for the Auto’s.
A game we could have won, had we had the bottle to challenge some of their more physical players and just play our game.
