FC Excelsior are a Blackpool Sunday league football team currently playing in division 2B.

We originally formed in 2003 thanks to the hard work of Steve Mercer and have played under various names, including Pump & Truncheon and Dog & Partridge, before taking our place as the official team to the new bar "Excelsior" in South Shore, Blackpool in 2007.

Our current manager Steve Downing has been instrumental in putting our current side together and building a great team spirit. Last year we had a great second half of the season which saw reach the semi-finals of the cup and achieve promotion to Division 2B. Big things are expected this year with the acquisition of a few new players along with the promise of a private ground thanks to the backing of Lee Rooney our very own Roman Abramovich.
