Well in with the cup game lads. If we want anything from this season then the cup is our best hope, or is it our only hope?

We really need to go all the way; there are some top sides still in it, when I say top sides I mean they beat us when we met so you fear mongers don’t need to get excited because none of them are that good. Let’s not get above ourselves though; Sunday was one game, now we need to concentrate on over coming Layton Institute Juniors when we play them.

I have not had a butchers at the league table for a while. When I took the time out to have a look I could not believe how far we have slipped. Its no wonder fyldesport were shocked to see us win on Sunday, we’re fourth off
the bottom.

This has to change. After our week off (10th Feb) we need to win our remaining games, every last one of them. What ever it takes we’re doing. This could be too little too late but I know in my heart that we are not a bottom 4 side so lets press on hard for the rest of the season and see if we can’t get some respect back.

Could anyone say MA2 are better than us? Not a sniff, they didn’t know what they were doing when we played them
and they got smashed. Look at them now they’re flying, through in the cup as well. Not bothered in the slightest how many games in hand or who we have to play we just win the lot.

MA2 will be our bench mark, what ever they do; we do better because we are better (a fucking whole lot better). We go further in the cup and we finish higher in the league anything else will be seen as a poor season. We are capable.

It is not important being the best player in the team – its being the best team of players. Lets remember this lads because if we are to grind out the results we have
to pull together as a team on the pitch.

As for goals I don’t care if your tally is 1 or 100, any goal you score is a goal for the team, a goal towards the win, nothing more. Forget the ego boost of being top goal scorer and think about the ego boost of playing for a winning side.

Just off the topic slightly....

Can’t believe Danny’s attempt to run through a 30 stone wall of cholesterol did not make it in to the match report from Sunday. It was hilarious. I don’t even think David Copperfield would have had the bottle to try that one. Fair play Danny it must have took some balls and you made around 30 people laugh.
